I have a pair of heads with 26 H 6050, NC 197, B 24 on one and 26 H 6049, NF 187, C 14 on the other. Cast iron. Can anyone help iding these? Thanks
For those that have posted and pm'ed me thanks. I have pretty much figured out with your help, they are 46-48 Lincoln with the 6049 and 6050 being left an right. Are there any Lincoln guys out there that would know what the NC 197 and NF 187 stand for? Thanks again
26H is 1942, presumably carried through until 1948...I don't have the Lincoln book here. That entirely identifies the heads...the other stuff is presumably foundry info, date or shift codes, numbers of the mold cores, that kind of stuff and has nothing to do with application or identity of heads.
Ok, that answers that question. Thanks to everyone that has replied or pm'ed me with information. I appreciate it. My wife says this stuff follows me home like little lost pups, then I have no idea what it came from or what it fits. That's when I turn to the HAMB, ya'll never let me down. Thanks.
