Ok put your checkbook away. This is from a 1963 issue of Hot Rod but I thought it was interesting.

Swap Rat IV in the same issue

"WRITE" if interested. That is awesome.

  6. My inflation calculator says $2900 in 1963 is the equivalent of approximately $17,900 in 2006. I'm guessing the car, if sold today, would fetch $250k easy (especially since it's been at Pebble Beach).

    I'll take it!

    PM sent!

Man, if I were only closer........

I'll take it if we can get a HAMB relay together...

How long can you store it?

I know you said no trades but would you consider an 84 Camaro V6, 5spd. in on trade?

"Chili" Catallo's parents bought a grocery store from my parents, and I helped him drag that coupe out of the weeds and thus began the "Lil" deuce coupe. Ray Wolozak bought the car from this ad and kept it for 30 years, then sold it back to "Chili" Catallo in the late 90's. "Chili" passed away and his kids restored the car to it's Pebble Beach condition.
I never knew the name of the car club that owned it and now I do.
I also flagged that Garlits machine at the old Golden Triangle drag strip, back when Garlits and I were as young as most of the guys on this board.
    Memories.

I'd give a million dollars for it, but i guess that's why I don't have a million dollars.

  12. hey mike you forgot to figure in the barrett-jackson inflation factor percentage. that would come to roughly $35623546854357654.32

If you are talking about the "Golden Triangle Dragstrip" in Beaumont Texas my dad went to that meet and got his first taste of "pro" drag racing. Awesome stuff.

The track is now a cattle field and bits of the track are still out in the weeds....

Now if I send him a Check for 10,000 and have him wire me back the extra. I will have a friend come by and pick it up....
