Looking for ideas for a VERY light weight and soft car cover that I can cover a finished painted car up, inside all the time, with while doing other things in that could cause dust ,light overspray. etc. If flannel sheets were one piece and big enough that would be great. That is sort of what I am thinking .Is there anything like that available? Again soft NOT waterproof . Anybody use something that will work. The car is a full size vehicle.

check eBay - there are plenty of low buck cover options out there - even with my rides in the garage I usually keep a lite weight cover on them - more than once has saved screwing up the paint

  5. A couple of king size bed sheets would do the job. HRP

Try a T-10 canopy. We used discarded chutes on our cars on post. Can be found at almost any surplus store and are dirt cheap.

car bag. Buy them at the paint retailer, takes two guys to unfold them, very thin plastic sheet, big enough to cover any car and then some. Comes in handy when you have to do some repair work on the bottom of your finished car too. cost is something like 10 bucks each.

Go directly to the manufacturer: CoverCraft, they make the covers for California Car Cover. CCC is just a dealer that puts their name on other manufacturers products.

Plastic covers hold moisture , not good , they'll literally pull condensation out of concrete, stone , dirt , not a good idea...

Sure, you can rig something up, but use common sense and purchase a cover
meant to protect your ride. The cost is nominal and worth the price for worry
free protection. Or go the cheap homemade route and welcome the small
scratches and moisture spots. How would you protect the car if it was a vintage
    Ferrari?

A piece of cloth is a piece of cloth , anything touching a cars finish scratches it , a hoopty-doo micro fiber 62 layer car cover gets dirty and scratches your car , spend what you can afford , save where you can..
