    In fact the Laboratoire was a bit of an anomaly, size-wise, for Voisin. Most production Voisins were mid-size and up.

    I think, a sort of general space to experiment in! Gabriel Voisin seems to have thrown every idea he had at the time at it.

    An old professor of mine told me once, "don't put all your architecture in one building." The Laboratoire's lack of competitive success would seem to bear out the wisdom of that, but it does make for a fascinating car.

    When I look at Laboratoire it is as though it's a product of an alternate reality. Half familiar, half alien, but preternaturally modern.

    The wings seem to refer to the Cocotte found on "civilian" Voisins:

    No mention of the make of this cycle powered car that was in the January 1932 issue of Popular Mechanics. Four passenger the lowest priced car in thev london auto Show.
