[IMG] I few years ago a small Packard like this turned up, the photo has been buried, if I find it I'll post it. Like the hand crank through the front license plate. Bob

Bond, Zundapp Janus, Goggomobil Dart, and an unknown three-wheeler. Not what I expected to see at the Grand National Roadster Show...

Sandford6.jpg I always thought the spare tire looked so awkward. So did Morgan as they quickly came out with the barrel back. With low exhaust some mounted it on the side forward of the cockpit as Sandford did it.

There were ads in magazines like "Popular Mechanics" for the WWII surplus Indian 2 cylinder engines with 3 speed transmission. 2 of those engines surfaced here in the 1990s without any miles on them at all. I keep looking hoping more will come to light.

That looks like an early Bond, a friend's dad owned one of these when my mate was a kid. .the electric start on the Villiers 2 stroke motor was very unreliable, so Mark's dad would have lift the bonnet (hood) and use the kick start that is visible in the photo.

I had a villiers 197cc moter with the ciba geigy "dyna start" in my first motorcycle, a Cotton,
The moter came from a bond invalide carriage, the three wheeled blue things.
It has 2 sets of points, 1 for reverse running and 1 for forward,
Guess who wired in the wrong set of points on his bike ?
Bit of a shock letting out the clutch for the first time...lol.
    I was 13yrs old...lol

I had a friend in high school that had a Harley 165 that would sometimes start up backwards. we always got a good laugh from that.

There 2 Panhard "RAZOR" built for record breaking. They were built with different engines for different classes. One was involved in a fatal crash at Brooklands. Both cars were ordered destroyed. The engine to one of them survived in a corner at the Panhard factory up until the fifties.

Bob, Was there any connection with the Aston Martin RAZOR BLADE? I believe this is the same car that was once in the Bill Harrah Collection, but my memory had it looking much more streamlined. Bob

Bob, I doubt it. The Aston dates from 1923. The Panhard from 1926. not that this is anything conclusive.the Panhard is a much cleaner rendering

Does anyone know if the ex Ken Purdy Frazer Nash with the Blackburn engine is still in the USA? Last I knew it was in the Mid West along with his Morgan 3 wheeler. Bob
