Ah, perhaps. Then is it any different than the GN in post #10228? Art is subjective. Just like our individual tastes in food...so it is with art. It was her car she could do with it what she wanted.if we found it that way today we preserve it as an historical artifact.

Looks as if the photo may be from the Collingrove hillclimb in South Australia

This is definitively not a Citroen since they had rounder grille shell as seen on the B2, absolutely not a Renault since they had no grille shell and an alligator hood, Peugeot had rounder grille shell on the top section, Zedel could be the one if it has a custom hood since they had louvers originally.

It's an AC Petite. They were Villiers 2 stroke powered IIRC with the motor in the rear.

... could that be modified original veteran auto or full replica?
It must have wonderful sound with that engine, but also great pulling power!
    Any more details of construction?

    Regards,
    Zoran

It might just be a full size replica car, built by Dick Frances of Philadelphia, for James Melton, famous singer of the era. If it is, I remember Dick building it about 1952. Dick had built a three quarter size one for himself, powered with a small Briggs&Stratton lawnmower engine, previously. I believe that Dick powered the Melton one. with a much larger, but still single cylinder Brigs. I would stop in a Dick's shop some days on my way home from high school, because he also sold model airplanes and their engines. Dick always had time to talk with a nosy kid. One of the worlds good guys--RIP, Dick

Rolf, thank you for the interesting post!
I am not sure about American love for king-size of everything, but in a case of Davis three-wheeler, it was necessary if somebody wants to have a ride with three friends (in one-row bench)! Only, where to find them when driver need them to fill the car?

Davis was impressed with 3-wheel roadster made by great Frank Kurtis, well-known for sport and racing cars!
(Davis bought it and presented it as prototype for his wannabe serial production)
