  7. That is pretty sweet... But the V Twin hanging out in front of the Morgans is just cool... Like the RIP Special

Myself, I prefer the cleaned up look of the grill of the Sandford.

  9. Totally understandable! The Sandford is a great looking cyclecar....

I guess I like the off the chain, hot rod look of the rawer cyclecars and specials a bit more.

st-anns-well-jmpenley.jpg download (26).jpg Here's a couple of things in the hills around Malvern. Not sure that's where they are headed or if one could even drive to these places. St. Anne's Well and the Malvern Beacon.

Bill, why would you want to sit in a T in the first place?

  19. Doug, not necessarily a matter of "want", just can't- not in T's, A's, Sprites, etc- tried to move my brother-in-law's Miata some years back to get into the garage and almost wound up in traction... it was a rude awakening

At least I can sit in a Mini (Austin or Bimmer) without too much trouble :D

I stuffed myself into an A and a Miata. Not enough room to move.I also got behind the wheel of an Auburn Speedster. You'd think there would be enough room in it.Although you sit very low Iand I could barely see over the top of the hood,my legs were pinned up against the steering wheel.

Yea, but at least the Auburn would be a cool ride, worth being uncomfortable.

  22. We had a 20's town car at the shop years back- you had to be 5'10" or under to drive it, there was so little room! Funny thing is, my boss (Bob Robinson) was about that tall, but he was used to wrestling his '12 Packard Touring- that thing was a BEAST :D!!!

...but not unsafe. I couldn't close the driver's door as it pinned my left leg against the steering wheel.I would have been unable to operate any of the pedals.....

Somewhat off topic but there are lots of cool cars that can be uncomfortable to drive. I am 6' tall but long in the torso (only 31" inseam) and have head clearance problems in a lot of the 70's vintage exotics--Lambo Muira and Countach for example and I have to remember to duck before closing the door on a GT 40 so that it does not pin my hair in the seal. Long arms and short legs can be an advantage in some 50/60's vintage Italian stuff though as a lot of them appear to have been built for knuckle draggers.

Try getting into this Morgan. I'm a bit over 6' with long legs. You do what you have to do.

My daily is an OT '06 Dodge Quad cab pickup, other than climbing up to get in it fits my 6' well. Most any new stuff takes contortions to get in without hitting my head on the door frame, but I'd be glad to put up with discomfort to drive most anything old and fun and would probably cut off my legs if necessary to fit in a Morgan trike. ;)

  28. That car right there is a winner.

    I really dig that.

I hate getting into modern cars. First you have to manhandle a huge thick door which has a mind of its own, and then you find that the hole you've opened up in doing so and now have to clamber through is tiny. That's why they glue windows over openings these days: if they put the glass in the opening the car would look like a bomb shelter.

I'm not that tall but I don't bend like I used to.
