I saw this cool Morgan at the vintage races at Lime Rock Ct. last summer. jse_IMG_2386.jpg jse_IMG_2388.jpg jse_IMG_2387.jpg I can't identify the engine but it's the first Mog trike I've seen that didn't have a motorcycle V twin out front.

... could that be Special made by Sir Alexander Arnold Constantine Issigonis, famous creator of Morris Minor and magnificent MINI?
A few years before The Seond World War, his Lightweight Special was co-designed with George-John Miller Pendlebury Dowsonhad... It was well-known for its rubber-elastic independent suspension allaround, if I didn't mix something!
(inspiration for Mini's suspension some two decades after that)

    Ciao,
    Zoran

    Hello Bob,

You are quite right - that smile last for more then five decades, even dreams made full circle!

We didn't have such kid-cars in Belgrade, so I didn't know anything about suspension, steering, power (pedals or small engines), and have to "invent" all that by myself! Happily, I had a few anginas, so have time to made a lot of sketches while spent days in bed...

After the first fail, my desires grow bigger and bigger and "designs" more serious (appeared foreign magazines!) ... until one day I bought Triumph Herald 13/60 with good mechanics but bad body! Excellent for transformation to English-style special! Unfortunately, it was stolen and sold to junk-yard as old steel. Situation change to worse and I abounded such ideas... After a few decades more, I am building kid-cars: the first (yellow one) for friend's son and the second (red) for my granddaughter... Now, start preparations for two more! ... and, is till have that smile! Maybe, to build one bigger (a lot), so to be rejected by kids, but not to be wasted, maybe I could take a few circles around...

    Regards,
    Zoran

This Morgan recently belonged to my father. He quit racing it at 80 years old and sold it. I believe it returned to Europe.
In the next week or so, I am beginning the restoration of his 1935 F4 trike that has sat dormant is various garages on the East Coast for the last 42 years: Last registered/driven in 1973. I plan to keep the progress updated on this thread. Thanks for sharing the picture.

    Bob,
He raced the Morgan up and down the Eastern Seaboard for many years. His other race car was a '62 Morgan +4. Unfortunately I have been on the West Coast, so I didn't get to see much of his racing. Between the two, he has had over 25 years of racing Morgans as his self titled "Phlexed Sphincter Racing Team". His motto: Never Undefeated
At some point, the original Blackburne engine gave up while racing and he had his mechanic adapt a Harley panhead to the car to keep it in the racing circles. Due to it's reliability issues, my Mom always referred to the this one as "The F Car". It did however, give him great pleasure for the years he raced it.
At 83, he's not quite done racing, though. I had the honor of joining him as he raced his 1936 Singer Bantam Special at Indianapolis Brickyard 400 this past June. We plan on returning again in 2015.
Thanks for all of the photos, they have been a great inspiration!
    Conor
