Hi Bob , I have been to brooklands a number of times , and every time I go there is something new to see , I think a night time torch tour will be great , so we will be going to one night,
We have a museum at night event in Oxford when all the museums are open until late One of the best is the Pitt rivers http://www.prm.ox.ac.uk/. All the lights are out on the ground floor and you can discover shrunken heads native head dresses etc using your torch , they also have people in fancy dress and a chineese orchestra playing upstairs , a great night out

WOW! From the tire distortion and attitude, it's obvious that those folks don't have a problem with pushing the limits in "old cars". How it should be, use them and enjoy them.;)

Obviously the one in the advertisement is a Saxon. The one in the current photograph is a lengthened vehicle with the owner struggling with sanctioning "bodies" as to what class it belongs in.More than likely,as a competition car,it has lost some of it's original clothing. Therefore, the discrepancies in visual similarities.

    Fred,
Quite right! There are some other versions, not so cute as small coupe.
    Small coupes are the law!

Stromer is correct; though I don't have enough German to know if it shouldn't be Strömer. It means "streamliner" and comes from strömen, to stream, and Strömung, stream or current. The connection is easy to my ears because the equivalent Afrikaans word is stroom. Thus the tendency in Afrikaans would be to translate "streamliner" as stromer, with neither the initial capital nor the umlaut.

    Here is the Jawa, unchained:

Both Framo and Jawa are part of a swarm of engineering traditions and commercial connections with DKW at its epicentre.
