I just traded my ramp truck for this little Chevy. Hope to have it on the road this spring. IMG_20171118_130950240.jpg

Have 2 projects going on this winter. Took my willys pick_up all apart to paint everything. Sent my 32 sedan to TE Customs to get the roof lowered 2 1\2". Also bought a cowl steering set-up for it which I hope to have in it by spring. 14894509641931588976588.jpg IMG_20171126_145235.jpg IMG_20171016_151336.jpg IMG_20171018_160141.jpg IMG_20171030_151626.jpg IMG_20171201_162507.jpg

Here's the 36 cabriolet that I've got running and still working on. Managed to drive it around the block yesterday!

    IMG_2830.JPG
The full car picture is from today but the "interior" picture is from the days when the wiring for the rear of the car was "in process!" All the exhaust parts are no longer needed as the exhaust system has been completed since this picture as well. I'll work to get another update after I get the other bucket seat installed... I don't see the rush as the driver's seat is fine... oh yeah, trying to convince someone to take a test ride might be somewhat of a challenge!!
That might be the reason the car is still on the market and not in a new home.:D
Hopefully I'll find more time to work on it... that is the famous phrase from nearly all of us.;)

Well photobucket SUCKS, so here's a small update. Brake lines and e-brake are wrapped up, motor and trans are going back in pretty soon.

Assuming you are gonna fab 55 quarter ends into the 56s? tail light housing and below it are different. The gas cap lid door is on a 55 quarter and the cap is behind the tail light on 56 but dont guess it would matter if you were gonna run a fuel cell or....???
Rockers are different too,55s go outward at the bottom 56s curve in.(look it up). It wont match at front fender/rocker, guess it all depends on how picky you want to be.
Sounds like a cool project and Im sure you can make something work, just thought I would mention those few things in case you werent aware or were even concerned with minor details.

Yes, thank you *low budget* these [2] 56's make my total ownership of the tri 5's up to 131 so far...
    I'm fairly familiar with them...lol.
It will be PURE drag race only smacked -n- stretched in all kinda ways GUTTED to the MAX.
My fav is the 55 2door sedan and its all good after that right?
Unless i find a 55sedan and sell these off...?...?

I got them for only 500.00 (the pair) and 20bucks to haul one in and 60.00 in gas money to haul in the 2nd one.... I could NOT pass that up.
    I'm pushing 7decades old -n- i don't move as fast as I used to .

This is my '64 Galaxie. Started out life as a 352 auto car, is currently getting a 390 transplanted into it and I swapped in a 4 speed. It's a hoot but I have quite a bit of sheet metal work in store for me this winter. IMG_20170926_231851_510.jpg

Passenger side after coating. I didn't build them myself and regret it a little.

Definitely went to far in the cutting. It was the only way to get the isky 400jr to fit. Runs really good though.

Finished the chassis for my willys pick-up and the chop is done on my 32 sedan. Next will be installing the cowl steering set-up on the sedan, which I bought from Mike's speed shop. IMG_20171221_111653.jpg IMG_20171212_161811.jpg
