This photo gives new meaning to the term "auto grave yard". There is a cemetery in the background.

Flush mounted stainless strips on the hood ( I believe the strips on a 55 are more surface mounted). Looks like a 56 to me.

This truck is on property that I own. When we looking to buy the place I was impressed with all I had seen until I turned the corner and this truck was pinned in by multiple trees. This sealed the deal. Have trimmed the lower branches and hope someday to put a hot tub in the dump bed.

Heres a pic of a car growing a tree. 64 Riviera I went and looked at yesterday. Had to take pic with cell phone. Tree had grown up between door and fender then grew out through the crack and kept on growing.

  27. I wish I'd taken a picture in the one junkyard. A '56 or so Olds was at the very end of one row and a tree had grown up out through the taillight opening until there was a big bulge there - it grew into the fender until it died, I think because only the outside layer of most trees is the live part, and it couldn't get water to the top after that. But that was... 1992? Long time ago.

I did find this in the wayback of a different junkyard, though. Figure the car this was on was crushed about 1970 and they'd saved this off it. There has to be a good joke about peeing on a tree that now has a "toilet seat" attached to it out there somewhere to go with this picture.
