This color is aged perfectly. Great score.

  7. If you paint that the Patina Gods will come find you and beat you with an H beam connecting rod leaving serious welts about the head and neck.

Traded a '56 F100 for this lil '56 Chevy a couple weeks ago.

Plans are to turn it into my daily beater. Parts are being collected and I'm almost ready to drop a mild 350/world class T-5 drivetrain into it.

Looking for a complete stick shift pedal assembly if anyone has one they'd part with. ;)

Info. Is this original paint and such, or was it made to look weathered?

Little bit older thread but when I ran across it today I just had to add my old 55.

It was raced for years with a 409 in it, straight axle, never got around to fixing it, I sold it to a guy who was going to restore it back to its gasser self.

Here is my patina 56 2 door post. Its an original 52,000 mile car. The patina is cracks in the lacquer. About 75% is original paint.

If you don't like something then why do you come into a thread that doesn't interest you and piss and moan about it? You didn't have to click on this thread. There are plenty of others.

Here is what I did to preserve the patina till I want it back, didn't want to have to spend 10k for a good paint job on a 5k, 4 door wagon. Bought the wagon after sitting for 18 years. Washed it with CLR and then wrapped it in 3m vehicle graphic material. Guaranteed for 5 years in the weather. and can peel at anytime to have the original paint/patina back if desired without any repercussions.
REMINDER!!!! This is just showing how i'm saving my patina. And not putting crappy paint job over original paint for the next care taker.
