We're doing fine with all of the stuff that has been going on since seeing you and Joyce last. Been working on the Waske,The HUPP, and a few other off topic cars.
We hope to see y'all here again sometime soon. I hope all is well in San Antonio.
Thank you for your compliments. It took a long time to build them and someday they'll have to get new stewards. I only hope that'll appreciate them as much as I have, but until then I'll dig em and drive em ;).

You have the correct mindset, Cyclone. We intended to make El Mirage in May, but we have to go to Austin U.T.to a graduation. Man, I was really bummed out. I want to attend a 2-day event and don't want to wait until Nov. I'll let you know what happens. Tell Sharon hello.

Are the hood and grille from Tom McMullen's original car? This one sits right-on.

I remember when you dragged that thing home. It was a sad sight. Watched you slowly beautify it into what it is today. Great job, Bud.

No, I got this car from a 75 year old man in Arkansas who owned it for 50 years. It raced on the dry lakes in the late 1940's and still has a timing tag on the dash from Harpers in 1947. In the 70's it got a makeover with a different frame, motor, tranny, etc -- basically what they did to these cars in the '70's. Then it drag raced in the 70's and 80's, I guess often in the Denver area. I thought it had the spirit of the McMullen car so I took it in that direction with the wheels and tires, and a few other details.

After re-chopping it another 1.5", for 3.5" total. I'll roll it outside for a better perspective when it stops raining.

Just installed some leather hood straps on the roadster. Like the hood with open sides look.
