Since this thread seems to be about coupes, here's one that turns my crank. My good friend, Mac Mc Calla bought it from the original owner when he was 16. mac worked in at a service station in Seal Beach to get the bread to build it. He started with a Cragar Model B , but said it had so much torque he kept tearing up A transmissions. After a year, he pulled the Cragar, and put in a warmed up flathead V8, and the trans lived fine. Mac joined the Navy, and was stationed in San Diego during the Korean conflict. He drove the A bone home to Seal beach every weekend for two years. When he got out, he sold the coupe to get married. In Mac's words, "the coupe is gone, and so is the wife, dumbest mistake of my life". Note the station owner's custom 39 Zeypher convert behind the A. Must have been a cool boss!
