I have a mocked up 6-71 blown Desoto Firedome hemi in my living room. What do you have?

Do you like my pine 2x12" blower manifold?

And those fake chrome headers I found in the dumpster at work!

What gave you that idea? My news paper curtain on the windows in the door? I'm smart enough not to get married. I get to do whatever I want and spend my money on whatever I want all the time.......The only ones who judge me are my cats. :) But seriously, I'm waiting for the woman that digs motors in the house. Still haven't found one yet...

Hahaha!!!!! Man from the Mauve blinds to the blue carpet I am thinking that red hemi sticks out like a......well like a fucking hemi in a living room.

I don't have any parts in my house as I like my home to be a home and my garage to be a garage. The only part in my house right now is a Edelbrock 6x2 intake and a 5" SW tach and both are in a spare room while they wait their turn. Some things are cool but a lot of time it comes off tacky.

I must be married to one of the rare ones as i have car and bike parts everywhere and she likes them. She does tell me to organize them better though, after tripping on them a couple of times.

It's not that my wife doesn't mind parts in the house it's that I don't want them in here. I've got some other interests besides cars and the house is a place to display them.

If you don't have anything nice to say, come stand by me. And from the looks of the chair, you may want to get the cats a scratching post...

Just for the record the pink blinds and blue carpet were there when I bought the house. If you don't like that stuff then you really won't like the flox wall paper in the bathroom! Looks like moss growing on the walls. I like it, reminds me of brushing my teeth inside of a 1970s mod van. I tried to get the cat to quit ripping up the chair, but he's middle-aged and sensitive so I just let him do what he wants. I finally got him to stop ripping up the cloth covers on my SONY speakers so the chair was a good compromise. Which is funny because I got the SONY floor mounts out of the trash at work too. College kids throw out the most amazing stuff. "$200 cabinent speakers? Oh, they're too big to take home. I'll just leave them next to the dumpster."

Are You building your car in the Kitchen? Using the bathtub to rebuild a transmission?

    Rusty truck,

After my Model A truck my kitchen building days are over. And for the record I never used the bathtub. I had half of a 55 gal drum for stuff like that in the living room. Now that I am actually paying a mortgage I try to keep most of the dirty stuff out of the house. The garage is where 99% of the wrenching happens now. Except when the garage is full and I need to wrench out in the driveway in the snow. That's always fun.

You must have been referring to this from my old rental crash pad:

There is a fine line between junk parts piled in a corner, and parts creatively reassembled to become useful, decorative automotive decor. But, I spent the big bucks at Art School to learn that. Nice lamp BangerMatt. I am single, but the chicks find my decor very interesting.

  21. Thanks for re-affirming my decision to never rent out my basement.

I guess it's not for everyone. If she doesn't like engines could you build one of those trunk couches? They are pretty cool! My buddy junked a '49 Caddy awhile back. I should have wacked the rearend off it for a Caddy loveseat.
