The Stone Guards in post #49 really set the body lines well.

  4. ................That car is beautiful. You're absolutely right, Paul. The original trim makes that car extra-special and that color is "killer". I guess that Harley Earl was still at GM Styling at that time and probably had a big influence on the design of that Caddy.

This is my Sedanet. Still looking for the stone guards on both sides but I love it nonetheless.

I'm really liking some of the cars in this thread. A genre you don't see that often.

WOW. If my garage was just a little longer I could make room for something like this! Super nice lines, eh? Gary

Us Ozzies beat the US to the draw actually producing sedanettes, 'All enclosed coupes' or slopers in 1935 with a full GM line up; Oldsmobile, Pontiac, Chev and Buick in 2 x different sizes (eg. 'A' and 'B' bodies). GM Holdens (GMH) produced this style until 1941, Ford Australia did them as well. Cadillac started GM production with a 'prototype' 1933 V16 fast back coupe. Sorry to bring up an old Post, but I gotta brag. I just picked this old girl up for 800 bucks. All it needs is 5000 bucks worth of rare Buick parts.

Echelon, is that Super or Roadmaster? I have a '47 Super and parts can be hard to find. But you have a start so brag away. Perhaps more pics?

It's a Super as well. Still has the 248 under the hood, and the knee action suspension all around. I've been scouring a 250 mile radius trying to find skirts, hood pieces, and glass. The price we pay with uncommon cars. Ha[IMG]
