Not hijacked at all! Good luck finding a set! They used to go for 40 bucks a set a few years back on ebay, now you'll expect to pay 120+ a set. Keep looking though, they're out there...

I rode in this 1942 Hudson 62 years ago. Its the one my Dad brought me home from the hospital in at the tender age of 3 days old. The photo is of me at one year old with my Dad taken in December of 1948.

Over the years Dad did speak of how good that Hudson would run on the highway. He said he had no problem when it came to venturing out into the passing lane. So I guess in their day Hudsons were a pretty fast car.

Wow! Cool thread. I don't know how I missed it before. I never owned one, but I'm a definite Hudson fan. Here's a couple of shift knobs I made.

I have never owned a Hudson and I LOVE this thread! I still don't understand why they weren't kustomized more back in the '50s? I'd have taken one over a Merc any day.

 

Believe it or not, its probably easier today to get praise for a Hudson than than it was 60 years ago. 90% of the time if someone would say something nice about them, it was followed with "But..."

Truly the red headed step sons of the automotive world. The fact they were the fastest, best looking, best riding and generally speaking, most bitching car did not seem to matter.

they were using some big ass ammo in the second pic,,lucky they missed
