Well sure, if you want to get technical, but I think everyone knows what I'm talking about. Tannergang, I'm liking those. I'll give ya your money back, lol! Also, I tinted the side windows today. I kind of like the look.

As long as I have them that means I've got to build me a custom....if I get rid of them, then I have nothing to look forward to using them on.........complicated, ain't it.

  16. Ripple caps. Almost no one does it and they are really cool on an old custom.

This is a good solution right here.

Are these Moon Starburst covers or an O.E wheel cover? Always liked this look.

I think these 1960 Buick covers might work on your Olds....

Those are both good suggestions. I know a lot of guys like the stock caps, but I think I want to get away from original.

I don't think that any car company at least here in the US ever used a ripple cap from the factory. I don't know who was the first to produce them but Moon is a good bet on it. Today there are a some companies that reproduce them.

Thanks Beaner. Chromed Moon stuff doesn't last long here in the UK and if there was a US made alternative i'd be interested in knowing where i could grab a set.

Ripple caps only look good on the wall. 48~52 caddy caps would be sweet. Build a custom!

True, but im pretty sure they were inspired by '56 Olds caps which look mighty similar!
