Roadster lovers are a nationwide bunch. Roadster lovers in Texas have to put up with some unique weather changes. It's either windy, hot, raining, or semi or down right cold. And sometimes perfect. It is increasingly less fun to drive in cities due to more crowded freeways and tall 18 wheeler wheels at eye level. In honor of the 20th Lonestar Roundup coming up in September, let's see your Texas roadster or a favorite of yours.

Unless someone can prove otherwise, Bob Wilson and Tom Bitros have the record for the most trips across the desert or up To Amarillo then thru Flagstaff to the famous LA Roadster show from Texas in their roadsters with 12 times each.

Karl, Great shot of Bob at the salt. Did he finish his '32 Roadster. I'm sure there are many roadsters living the the great state of Texas. Just a matter of getting them posted.

Dons32.jpg The late Don Newhouse in his roadster as seen in his driveway in south Fort Worth. He built it in 1957 from a roller. He sold it in 1959. I knew Don and he was one of the members of the famous club which began in the 1970's and is still going strong. The Arlington Area Street Rods.

Hi Fogger - It is very close to being finished. It is sitting in his garage now like a lot of our local roadsters have been for the last several years awaiting to go to LARS or another event. It is a killer roadster though.

  13. Love Bob's blue roadster. Saw it covered in dust, while picking up some of his brake sets. You'd never know what was in that garage. Too cool.

TwinDeuces.JPG IMG_4184.JPG My own that I have had since '93. It's been to LARS once and to the roundup several times. It has been non running condition more than running during those years. Total miles about 15k.

  21. Technically, I guess I don’t have a roadster although the top does go up and down. Roadsters don’t have windows that go up and down—-doors are not cut or slotted for glass!! I n my mind, I still have a roadster because it has top bows and the top goes up and down, but my car has roll up windows—-hence the name cabriolet. Is this car in the roadster category or NOT?? I will let the HAMB members determine ROADSTER or NOT?? 839770FF-8C73-4A2C-80DC-4F2AB822E9DE.jpeg 2160DAB6-2BD5-4AB1-977F-1249AA80D6EA.jpeg 76EDFA42-5F70-44B1-9836-065AE159C624.jpeg 10D1555A-3150-4F10-A314-C0225C929A04.jpeg

Yes, a cabriolet is certainly in the roadster category as are phaetons. Thanks for posting. Any info you want to share about it?

20210602_124447.jpg Here's mine. Somewhere in Arkansas on the way to the Midwest Roadster Run couple of weeks ago. Andy was very instrumental in the design of the chassis when I built the car. Been on the road 10 years now. Only one trip to LARS but been to Colorado, Florida, Illinois, and headed to Kentucky this weekend. All driven.

  30. I hope to add one to the list someday. Thanks for posting. I have been able to examine many of these fine 32s in person.
