my recently acquired 62 unibody
Hey dude, dont worry bout it... nothing wrong with a good rat rod or Low buck build. I personally would rather own a sweet old low buck ride than a 200 ,000 dollar G ride. Id be to nervous to drive it.
its a 67 but im working on getting a 61 unibody
I can't believe NOBODY posted Reggie's or Jeems truck.....wow......
Wow! That is flippin awesome
It's "The Beer Truck"!...know why?
Because its got room to get the wait staff to the kegger.
...and mixing and matching different years is fine, just as anything else is. It just depends on how tastefully its done.
One mans opinion.
Well, if your aim is to have a truck with a 400HP engine, then I say what cha' already got is doing just fine.
...but really, I think this question needs to be a thread of its own.
Look at that! Did you lower it any?
I like it! What all have you done to it?
From the HAMB Drags.
That truck looks good even in rusty patina!
from way back when i didn't have a digital camera; i had a '65 longbed with 352 4v and power steering, black on black with 16" wheels and a towtruck pushbar; a yellow '59 styleside shortbed that i never managed to get an engine for; and a '64 shortbed stepside with a 351w and a custom crossmember. they's all gone now... victims of low income and high outgo.
thanks alot of nice trucks on here
I know you guys have already seen mine a few times, but here it is again.
Ooltewah Speed Shop
Sweet ride man!
Thanks, not much done yet. It has a 390, C6. I have a set of dropped I-beams in the garage that are waitin to go on.
I love the crew cab
Shoot man I like it at the height its at. I get alot of mixed feedback about the lowering beams... apparently you sacrifice some ride quality and more bump steer. Just what I hear. and some guys dont seem to mind.
I agree. It looks great, as is.
The blacked out wheels are a nice touch.
...and that store front looks vaugely familiar. I think my dad bought some snow tires from that place back in the mid 70's, but it wasn't a Goodyear back then (if its the same place).
just for fun heres a nother one with the front end actually mounted. ignore any gaps, seeing as the door is just sitting there not mounted to anything.
man...you make me wanna get out my spatula and get to fillin and prime'n... I can hardly wait to get to that stuff... Im tired of all the drive train and chassis work... but its gota be done. been over a year now.. and got about a months worth left to go.
Thanks for the update...im gonna go check out the ford trucks website to see what youve got there. lol.
theres a lot more over there haha. I love these ford trucks, and i never was a big ford guy before, but i feel in love with the body lines.
ill trade you body work for chassis work!
I'll definately keep you posted when I do it, I'll post some pics. There some good threads on the fordtrucks forum about the DJM dropped beams, they just look too good low not to lower it.
my '64....these pics are kinda old...i now have the motor dropped in place, all air ride is plumbed....hopefully i'll have it on the road for CHRR
its been lowerd some but i´m planning on installing my 2" dropped ibeams and some kickup mods on the rear end this winter.....and later on air bag it
How did you lower it with out the beams?
Any of you guys got any cool stock height trucks?
Nice Ride ... love the craggars.
