The last owner is alright, the tree....so-so, the pickup(?), not so much.

    RIP

  6. Didn't you sell that to a young girl, or am I thinking of someone else? Either way it's a bummer, that was a sweet truck.

Yeah, I sold to a Father/Daughter here in town. They in turn sold it to some guys up in Nevada who sold it to someone in St. Louis, and then, finally, to the last guy, from Dallas. Everybody who owned it contacted me at one point or another....pickup got around and everyone seemed to have their fun with it.

IMG_5211small.jpg 1966 Ford F-100 Camper Special. All-original with 47k miles. I took off the heavy duty two piece wheels and repainted the rear bumper. Other than that it's as it left the factory. Paint, upholstery, drive train are original. 352 with a 4 speed. Apparently they didn't make very many 1/2 ton Camper Specials. The vast majority were 3/4 ton. I've only ever seen a handful of F100 Camper Specials. I think they only made them for three years total.

My '65. Still running the 240 I6 and 3 on the tree. I'm currently in the middle of putting a new floor in it using hickory.

Looks like my ex-brother-in-law's old truck. He had a '66 with 352 and C6.
I smacked the back of a 70's Impala with that truck back in high school.
Crunched the trunk dam near up to the rear window.
No harm to the truck. Didn't even dent the bumper. =)

Looking again, seems the hood has no paint!
    Thanks for the info, anyway.
Colour looks nice in the pic. Once you get it, maybe a dark-ish teal would be the way to go.
Lucky guy, you get to have to one.
