There is a lot of unbelievable work on here...it's amazing. The more I shape metal, I discover how little I really know and how much more there is to learn. If that makes any sense? Here's some of mine.

  14. I not sure if this is has been posted on the hamb before. But thought it was a neat idea for those of us working on our cars who have limited money and tools.

The fenders are for a single axle trailer. Can be bought at most farm and home stores.

The owner has a 1926 Model "T" and needed some rear fenders and found these. Cut them to fit his coupe and then asked if I could roll the wheel opening and put a bead in them.

It took about a 1 hour total to lay the lines out and run them through a bead roller.

Nothing fancy and I'm sure not everyone will like them, but for a few bucks and some time spend in the garage on a cold day, progress has been made.

That is one hell of a die.I think I would have used my simple roll tool and shrinker,to fit it to the roof.

Johnny, it has a .25 wide flange at the bottom for spot welding to the drip rail, I thought this would give a more precise break there without adversely affecting the radius......and it's also more easily reproduced

  22. '61 Pontiac front of the left rear 1/4.

Not much to work from so I borrowed the left door and took a profile off of it.

Outlined that onto a piece of aluminum flat stock 5/8" thick.

Made a couple of test runs.

    The finished panel.

  25. Thanks for the compliments.

  26. Another part for the Pontiac.

I was asked to make a right rear lower 1/4 for a '61 Pontiac Catalina. Only problem was they didn't have anything left on the right side to get a pattern off of.

They were able to purchase a used left rear lower 1/4 so I took it with me in hopes I could use it for a pattern. I was able to eyeball most of it. I only had to make a small flex pattern for the wheel opening so I could place it in the correct spot.

I used a go-kart slick on the e-wheel , a step die in the bead roller, tipping die in the pullmax, shrinker and air plannishing hammer. I have 3 1/2 hours in it.
