the 29 truck started out with a sedan cowl and doors. (note the skinny beltline) all built in my garage, done for under $2500....The 25 TT i traded a couple days work for the parts and put about $2200 in materials. 100% built by me incuding the interior. The internationalcadalacticluvmobile i got thrown in on a paint job. made $1500 on top for 1.5 days work.
The 1930 5 window coupe i traded a used blond, her kid and a dog for. None of them were mine. (3 days drive to Mississippi $600 in gas and $180 plane fare back home).....BEST TRADE I EVER MADE

Being a 4x4 guy to, I am digging this thing big time.

  8. Here's mine. I wanted something cheep & easy. A lakes modified/track roadster. The goal
was $2500.00 but the Buick drums & wheels & dirt tires pushed it up a bit. Still way under
    the 6k mark.

I know its not a car, but I have $572.00 in it. That includes the gold metalflake paint, and the upper end rebuild of the motor, and the purchase of the bike. I haven't worked on it in a couple years but I am determined to get it going this summer.

    My '54 F-100 on S-10 frame.

$100 for F-100. Towed home. Cut apart. Scrap leftover brought 45.
    $80 for '86 Mustang. $20 in paint and bondo, traded for a '88 S-15 and $100.
    $40 by this point.
$50 for Sawzall blades, welding wire, and grinder discs. Leftover metal from the S-10 brought about $100. So now I was $10 ahead of myself.
$0 Scavenged metal from High School Welding class and various dumpsters to make all my brackets and patches.
$20 for smaller steering wheel off ebay with shipping.
    $60 Fuel Pump
$30 for Wiring, Switches, Fuses, Headlights
    $150 for new rear-end
$100 to replace intake, rad hose, gaskets.
$20 wheel studs and lug nuts
    $15 used tire
    $20 Paintjob
    $75 Polycarbonate Windsheild
    $15 Oil Change
    $50 bed
    $10 bed floor
    $50 Bolts, Nuts, Hardware
    $30 glasspack, exhaust pipe
    $75 Brakes, Wheel Bearings
    $10 Hoodpins

So I'm in about $725. I drove it on the road for one day, and I got tired of battling stupid electrical issues and the vaccum lineless V6, so I'm selling the 4.3 for $200 and replacing it witha $100 307. Which with the parts I've bought to put on it, will end up costing me $50 overall for the new motor. Free 4 core chevy truck radiator with warranty. I'll have about $100 in a new exhaust as well. Pretty much $1000 when its done.

Here is my coupe, I had under 4 grand in it when I first got it on the road. As it stands I am still under 6. I am not going for the award for the cheapest hotrod, I just dont have much cash.

I missed the budget by $300.00. I added it up and it appears to be right around $6300.00.

I really like the profile shot. Looks to me like a vintage short track modified for the street.

This has to be the best trade ever. ;) Now sell those Ansen Sprints on ebay, and get ALL your money back. The Olds looks great.

Unfortunately it doesn't have a military past.. once I made it 4x4 it just kinda looked like a military truck and I built the canopy to haul the equipment for the band I am in (I got tired of renting u-hauls every weekend)

    here is my build thread
