The only problem with that old thread is a majority of the images are being held hostage by photobucket,a lot of RED X's.

Can't forget this one.

 

When I was a kid an older guy used to drive down my street in an orange 40 Ford. When he came by the whole world seemed to stand still. I am building my own 40 Ford coupe now and I paid stupid money for an orange metal flake steering wheel just incase I decide to mimick that first love. As far as I know no one makes them in that color any more.I am not necessarily an orange car guy but that car made a life long impression on me.

 

When I was a kid, the car that hook me was a Compation Orange 1955 Chevy (something like Ed Roth's car), it was at the base hobby shop with two Airman working on it. I went over and talk to the guys and said, "boy this is one sharp car and that color is something else". The guy helping the owner look at me with a big smile and said, "Don't get too excited Kid, out in CA, they are all orange and the problem with this car is not the color but the Nutcase behind the wheel. both of these guys turn out to be Boom Operators that flew with my Father.

 

That's Competition Orange, which I was told was a Ford color from the late 50 and ran throughout the 60.

 

Posted mine in the old thread ,so I figured she might as well be here too.Still wearing the same competition orange paint job as the first time I saw her back in 1968 ; nicks, chips , scratch’s an all :

It's Mars Red lacquer faded to orange after a few decades.

 

Is this one Orange enough for ya?
