Pat, that's a cool history - have you owned it all the way through?

Jon D. Engelhardt from Massilion, Ohio in his '57 Corvette named Mr.Lucky II at the 1963 Indy Nationals.

  11. I took this picture of Sam Parriott's first Kurtis at Pomona in 1959. It was powered by a blown Cad built by Big Bill Edwards. yes, Sam was the mayor of the City Of Industry for years.

I don't have any pix to share, but don't forget about all the Healeys, Opel GTs (too new?) and early T-birds. Gary

I was 12 years old hanging out at the garage that "Willie the Welder" worked at and his partner Dave Daly worked with my father at the post office. They asked if I wanted to go to the track with them and I was hooked. I actually went to Westhampton Drag strip with another friend in his new 62 Chevy 4 speed, dual quad, posi-traction, 409. (sounds like a song). I got the car about 15 years ago from another guy who bought it from Dave while I was in Viet Nam. He took it all apart, threw out the race stuff and it sat for about 30 years. We just ran the New England Hot Rod Reunion and it was like running the 64 Indy nationals for me.
