Here's a Barris caddy... The El-Parisienne. (Not sure about the spelling there.)

I heard a rumor that CHOP60 is in the shop getting painted to step up with the big dogs. I think my ear still hears the echos of CHOP60 from Sac.

Where is Frankies Caddy now. Last I saw it was for sale for $400K ? That thing would take every award possible if it was being shown.

    It is.

This is the direction I'd like to go with mine, actually. I should print out and tack it up for inspiration...

If ever there was a dude I meeded to hit up for some technical pictures... especially with the shaved handles thing, or the bagging. It's always nice to see how a bunch of other people have done something before initiating a project, ya know? Maybe with his input I'd decide that maybe some of the things he's done just aren't for me after all. ;)

Some of that new talent. I kept hearing CHOP60 mentioned throughout the Sacramento Autorama. I guess the buzz is starting. Anyone know what color its being painted?

  15. Always keep in mind that Caddies are luxury cars and should have shiny paint and never, never, never have blackwalls. It is pure sacrilige to Rat Rod a Cadillac. OK to run primer while in transision to a finished car, but the black primed one pictured above will look so much better in paint.

    Re: The Oz Kustoms...

I'm wondering, living here in the midwest, I can't really say that I understand the relationship between Oz Kustoms, and John D'Agostino... (Yes, I did a little Google search, and found the myspace page for Oz....) So, I'm wondering, does John use Oz Kustoms to build his cars? Just curious: Who's who in all this? Am I simply far too ignorant of what's going on in California? (Probably yes, is my my guess!)

Someone out there may be kind enough to fill me in.

As an aside, I will admit that over the years, I think I've only seen ONE of John's cars, that gorgeous Packard Carribean... Still waiting to see that green Brougham... IMO, the coolest car Cadillac ever built. John's mods are nice, but I must admit I prefer the original front end treatment. As I understand it, he was missing some parts, so I can forgive him on for changing over to the traditional '58 grille... Brougham parts are not that easy to find these days.

Well I will let Oz answer that question, but I will say that Oz built the Packard as well.
