1958. TV show "Rescue 8". Excellent show about Los Angeles Fire Department Rescue trucks. By far the best episode was "The Steel Mountain", which aired November 18, 1958. Some crooks were climbing among the discarded trolley cars on Terminal Island when one of them falls and the Fire Department comes in for the rescue before the trolley falls some 35 feet to the ground. Very well filmed. I remember watching at the age of 2. Real high drama.

Great thread. Little bit of Northwest history here. That bumper sticker on the truck is referring to a downturn in the aircraft industry in Seattle, [Boeing]. Lots of folks out of work, freeways pretty empty, hence the "last person leaving Seattle turn out the lights". Similar sentiment was on a billboard along I-5. We're a bit more diversified now with all the hi tech stuff but Boeing still carries a lot of weight in the Northwest.

How about commercials? Does anyone remember the Gulf gas commercial back in I believe in 1969 where this young man driving a 1957 chevy buys gas for a couple of dollars and his girl friend in the car called him a big spender).Anyone remember?

I'll catch myself watching the tv series shows on YouTube, just to check out the cars from The Untouchables.

you're doin' right, fella, and don't forget that wonderful thing, the www.imdb.com, the international movie data base, or www.imcdb.org, the international movie car data base, a good source, if you're lookin' for movies with cars, cars from movies or sumlikethat....

February 21, 1960. TV show WHIRLYBIRDS. They were always chasing a car or truck in every episode.
