Lots of cool stuff on here. I thought it would be appropriate to include a photo of the often copied Olds/Cad aircleaner in its natural habitat with vintage Offenhauser finned valve covers on a 324.

Love where this is going. I'm hitting Pick a part tomorrow with hopes to find something I can modify!

  10. This is my latest attempt. I used 1/2 inch aluminum and cut the holes in the base plate with a 3 inch hole saw, then I used that saw to cut three circles in the top 1/4 inch deep and then used a 1/8th X 3/8ths X 3" disc cut-off wheel in my drill press to grind out the centers. Cut the grooves on my table saw in the top piece and used the hole cut outs from the base for the top hold down " nuts ". The filters are NAPA filters that are about 2 & 1/4 inches high by 4 & 1/4 dia. I also have some Hastings filters ( # AF-158 ) that are about one inch taller that look nice. It was one of those " what am I gonna do today " moments on a crapy "spring" day. It took a couple of days to do it but I've got lots of time and the cost was about 50 bucks including the filters.
