    Cheap Ebay dual quad A/C.

Bead blasted and adapted to 3 deuces about 70 bucks as seen here. The Ford repos are a lot more. The lump on the front is an aluminum winged Mercury head logo that will be epoxied on. It could get some heads scratchin' and I'll have the only one.:D

I always thought a hubcap would be cool. I like the creativity going on here.

  9. I went the flip side on air cleaners that got thrown away like exhaust manifolds. Discovered there where harder to find than i thought and they want real money for them now. Just a stock early 60's ford cleaner. Adding another snorkel and i'm done.

Hubcaps are great, I used a first gen Mustang's once. Also, Frisbees from local ice cream shops etc, have that nice bend/bubble in the center like a Moroso air cleaner.

at the end of the day, tho, make certain whatever you choose (I've seen newspaper mailboxes used as scoops) isn't choking the carb off. I've seen people use tractor paper elements to fit a shape, not sure how well it worked for performance, tho.

here's some tall ones...since the center bolt is 1/4-20, I found some curtain-rod finials at the local bed/bath store to top them off....never gonna see another set like THESE

I built the one mentioned in the first post, for my 61 Dodge. There's even a how- to somewhere here on the HAMB.
I also built some replica 53 Corvette filters for the Kopper Kart clone, out of stainless steel. The most recent is one I did for a 61 Olds I'm doing, did a how-to building this one a while back. If you know 61's, the shape matches the body lines on the side of the car. The filter also has a square tube grill, just like the one I built for the car.
    AND Anthony White (00Mack) pinstriping!

  28. Here's my attempt at a cold air [not ram] intake for my '63 1/2 Falcon 170 . I'm not sure what year the base came from but it fit my 1904 carb with a little work including reshaping the inlet area to raise the base to show off the glass bowl on the 1904 which also formed a shape much like a velocity stack and adding the hold down bolt . I later added holes to relieve excess air pressure . The top is basic issue for an early '60s Ford small six with the snorkle replaced with a curved piece of exhaust pipe . I opened a hole in the radiator support for another piece of curved exhaust pipe with a flat flange for the air inlet . I connected the two pipes with a piece of common pre-heater hose which I remove when the weather turns cold . The pipes and hose may seem small [2"] until you realize the venturi on the 1904 is only 1 1/8" .

Modified a 52 Chrysler oil bath cleaner to take a dry element filter. The trickier part was modifying the bottom to not only fit the Q-Jet but to sit low enough to hide the carb. Trying to get the engine looking like a early 50's version and a modern Q-jet doesn't fit the bill for looks but does for performance. Used the bottom pan from the 66 Riv air cleaner grafted to the bottom of the 52 Chrysler housing. Will be using a early pressed steel wing nut to hold together. Just needs a couple of decals.
