Hot Rods Let's have our own 81st anniversary event for the 40 ford...

  1. Orville is a cool dude. I visited with him at the NSRA MidAm Nats and over at the Gathering at the Roc. He was in his deuce woodie at both events.

I am pretty sure the Orville considered it Honduras Maroon. He still owns it and maybe someday we will see it on the road again. He drove the wheels off of it so it needs a full resto. My fingers are crossd.

The Nash grille  I don’t usually approve of chopped 40’s but this one seems well executed.
Most eliminate the rain gutter which IMO ruins the style line of the coupe.

^^^Strangely enough, I think that bathtub Nash grille and the front fender/headlight mods kinda work when compared against fat-fendered post-war cars, but then again it's a '40 Ford, which doesn't need anything done to it to begin with.

A shot of the panel truck after a meeting with the City of Willard, MO about using their facilities for the start of the 2021 SWMO Hot Rod Hundred Reliability Run. I figure if you are gonna have a meeting about hot rods, ya better drive one to the meeting.

  25. I read a lot of old period magazines since I’m only 52 I wasn’t around for customizing my car I get ideas and what they actually used so I can customize mine as a period correct 40 ford. My era I am concentrating on it’s late 50s early 60s

  28. Chili day out for the Motorama had to turn on the heat for the 45 minute drive but it felt great to be behind the wheel again.
