This guy's '40 is like our moderator's, typically seen at good places to eat
somewhat sinister, eh?
Remembering Tom Medley and his '40
Old custom 40 pickup I just got was built in the 50’s has been sectioned and channeled fenders raised Chevy bed and rear fenders the original custom hood is missing has a stock one sitting on it.
One That Flies..
^^^^Love Robert Williams' art^^^
I remember Dover Dragstrip, Wingdale, NY in '61. There was a '40 pickup there with those behind the cab stacks Honest Charley used to sell, and red wheels with 2" whitewalls. I think it was Chevy Bahama Blue. Really thought that was a "bitchin" truck. And even now 60 years later I think '40 and '41 half tons are the best.
The Sedan is back on the road after about a year. It's been treated to a Skip Haney Coil rebuild and rebuilt fuel pump & distributor from Third Gen Automotive. It starts instantly now.
Thats very nice, what size wheels and tyres?
Looks like Von Dutch's "Harvey" on the trunk lid of the gold one...
Remember the "hoodless" '60s? My first hot rod was a '47 tudor with no hood and scavenger pipes.
Its 15×5 and 15×6 wheelsmith rims with firestones 5.60 and 8.20 and spidercaps

Yesterday morning started off with the realization that I failed to check the coolant level in the radiator before leaving the house when I got to the 5:30am rendezvous location. Fortunately, filling the radiator back up to where it should be fixed the issue.
Tim Cox caught me visiting with Ed Jennings over at the Stray Kat Reunion, in Dewey, OK, later that day.
built this little drag/street '40 pickup back in the early '90s. '40 cab, '37 pass nose, homemade bed, widened 36 pickup rear fenders. Looked a lot faster than it really was...never fooled anyone
Time warp back to 1958, chinos, penny loafers and a nice '40
I bought that car in Fenton, Mo, drove it for 2 years and sold it on hamb. It's now in Texas.
Pictures posted on the web before it went to Fenton, Mo. (At least I'm pretty sure of it) The second picture is the new owners paint and new interior which are pretty cool, or at least I think so.
^^^Weird, but I kinda like it^^^^
@i.rant gets ink in the current Hemmings.
When I grow up I wanna be famous like @i.rant
In the meantime, I will park my '40 next to him (when I can find an open spot) and pretend that I am.
Me too, that David J. is well published. Wait, you are also. I just claim to know you two.
LOL. Yeah, but 99% of mine is shameless self promotion, so I don't think that counts.
Is your photo from the OkC Nats last year? I took my pic with David at the MidAm Nats last year. He really gets around!
