Bored this afternoon so reviewed a blog on Tumblr by a guy from Scotland, 2013-2017, tons of hot rod pics, lots of scantily clad young ladies too. But I did find some relevant pics.

a friend of mine, about my age, opined once that '40 Fords only came in two styles, flames or no flames. I tend to lean to the former style myself having bought my car with flames but lousy paint, had it repainted black and after a year had to have the flames put on. IMHO the '40 nose was made for flames, just works. View attachment 3619558

 

Never, ever, did that.

 

My 40 Sedan "the Varmit" went to a new caretaker back in April. With any luck I'll have another one someday.

 

My buddy Al's '40 coupe that he just finished. It's got a real old school theme with the Caddy caps,shaved front bumper, and hot pepper matte red paint. Check out the Stude tail lights and homemade rear pan.

Finally , after 43 years of 33's, 34's, 46's, 47's, and 48's I am back to my first car !! Nuttin like a 40 Ford coupe.
