I know this is going to cause angst but if I owned a 40 I'd put 37-39 headlite buckets in it! Just saying...

The cad engine was taken out of a 50000 mile 49, I bought it on eBay and all I did was clean, re gasket and paint it candy gold. It runs great with the 4 twos even though it is all stock inside

  6. Ditto. That's a gorgeous maroon!

This was my father's 40, I acquired it when he passed a few years ago. He talked about this anniversary, sure do miss the old man! ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1424329783.260954.jpg ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1424329848.394387.jpg

  22. That's a neat picture. My dad was a co pilot on a B17 during WW2. I think it's neat to be driving my 40 knowing that it was driving around over here in the states while my father was flying missions in Europe. I have his pilot wings on my dash today so he's still with me in spirit! :)

Mine is not as neat as your wings OL 55, nor does it have such a significant story, but I still like it. A gift from 41woodie here on the HAMB. 100_9019.JPG
