Here is a 40 Ford I have always loved. Wonder where it is now
Isn't that Joe Barnett's old '40 ?
and here's mine
here's ours, bought it last year, done in the 80s I think. Wife says the velour interior needs a disco ball! But great car, we are driving it everywhere. In shop being repainted now.
Wish I was ready.....

Here's mine, the black one is a recent purchase, making some minor changes for safer driving before spring!
trying to melt the ice!
I run chrome steelies with WW from time to time. A whole new look.
Dirty Old Man's 40 coupe. HRP
Boy I wish this was mine. This color was my second choice after black. One of each would be swell.
Here's mine - it was on the "40 Is 60" tour the late Art Branum had done back in 2000 and I had another 40 that was in his "40 Is 50" tour back in '90....
Here is my 40 p-up project ....
...and a 40 p-up I flipped a while back ....
That's Chuck's car again at Pomona. He's in his 70's and this was not his first cross country trip. He's got a flatty and a 5 speed in it too! Here's another shot on the road from our trip .
Here's a few we have done--looking now for another to keep me busy. The dlx coupe with the whitewalls is our old standby-was at the outdoor show at the Sac Autorama-it's #4 and built in 07-the CMG std is #13. Lots of really nice ones posted-love the maroon one in post above.
In post #61 where was that taken. Back in 1997-8 I got one from San Luis Obispo that Art Branum was aware of. Looked very much the same and we/he had a picture of it running at Santa Maria sometime in the late 50's. It left here in 03 after we refreshed it and is somewhere in the San Joaquin valley last I heard.
This 1942 us tax stamp is on the inside of the glovebox door on my 40
Guess since we are both the same age not a chance he will leave it to me.
At 72 I'd like to get on the list for that one too
Here is a pic of mine shortly after I got it. I bought it at a garage sale 10 miles from home, 40000 actual miles with one repaint in the sixties.
I'm thinking I better start going to more garage sales, that's a great story.
Yeah but it didn't come with that Caddy engine in it!
I bet the Caddy DID come from a sale in a garage somewhere!!
Definitely need to go to more garage sales!
It had the stock flatly when I got it. The only mods were 15" wheels and dual exhaust. I put the dropped axle , chrome wheels and cadillac engine in it
^^^^ What I said. The caddy came out of a garage... and was apparently in a dang nice one before it got into the 40!!
Great story, great car, great engine, too!
Wonder what color is on Chucks 40?
