If that is the El Matador, I know the guy here in town that sold that 40 to the guy that built it. He is in his 80's and ran around with him. Bill Cushenberry, right ? He has shown me some cool old black and white photos of them and the car.
Never been a fan of radically customized '40 Fords, as it is easy to go overboard when trying to change/improve the appearance of near perfection.
Consequently most of the pics between 4951-4961 make me wish for a "don't like" button
First sunshine since last November,
One of the best threads year after year. Never gets old.
I've had the '40 out and on the road 92 out of 92 days so far this year. Drove it to work today
Wow !! One heck of a streak. Later Bill
Dave, looks good.
If I park next to you, will some of that shine rub off ?
What a fine example of a 40.
Hey Don I’m not sure about the shine but would always be a plus to park next to your fine 40. Here’s hoping we can meet up somewhere this year. Take care, Dave
Here's a couple of the same car that @Moriarity had posted on the "Traditional Images that need no explanation" thread.
Out for an early morning rendezvous with my truck driver son this morning. Took the coupe out for a little solo cruise afterward. We just finished installing a 5 speed in the coupe last week. Works great so far!
