It's amazing what a simple stance and tire change can do to a 40. That coupe is perfect with just a few simple alterations done to it.

Hub Caps Are A Easy Change Back To The Olde Days...

 

After chasing this car for 20 years and owning it for 12 years it's of to the new owner. Tough to see it go.

 

@LOWDUG37, I can assure you that it has found a FANTASTIC home with Sonny. I am looking forward to seeing it when Sonny brings it down to Springfield, MO, for a visit.

 

And I am like an expectant father in the waiting room for the delivery to be over with.

 

Latest 40 std-Done and off to new home. Really like the grey coupe! Time to find another one.

39guy-my time about 450 hrs-plus wife's time-10-11 weeks. Paint etc took a good while and was stalled for uph for 4 months as well-he was backed up a good bit.
Been driving it around a bit to get bugs out between rain storms-all good-drives great and the 327 is pretty spunky too.

A couple of ‘hot’ 40,s from the 70’s

 

Well the transport company finally got the 40 to her new home, it was a long wait. The voltage regulator finally quit after 79 years, on my watch too. But I fixed her and now she is ready for the road.

 

OH, MAN!!!

Remind me, when you get down to Springfield, to dig up my old "stock" wiring goodies for you. I know I have the stock regulator out of the truck, and probably the one out of my coupe, too.

A little out of the ordinary, for this thread, but still appropriate. I rolled 101940 in the stake truck yesterday, on my way to work down in Branson.

(sorry for my FB friends who've already seen this one)

 

Seen today at the Swap Meet at the Classic Auto Mall in Morgantown, PA.

 

What's the details on it, for sale or? Looks like a nice one to me.
