The builder was Roadstar and I think he was from up nort, maybe Michigan? He used to be a HAMB regular but hasn't been on much lately.

  3. Yep, @roadstar , from Michigan. Friend of Denise Sheldon, @hotrodladycruisr.
An absolutely stunning 40, with a white and bronze interior. I'll see if I can find the pics I saved.
Wish both of them would come back on here.

The red coupe was mine. That photo was taken at Bandimere speedway in Morrison Colo. in about 1996 or 7. I miss that car more than any I have ever owned. I traded a glass 32 3w project for it in the early 90's, took it down to the frame and stared over. We put a crap load of miles on that car and had a great time doing it . The 40 has changed hands 4 or 5 time since. It has been totally destroyed ( IN MY OPINION !!)They remover all the 40 stainless, removed the 40 headlights and put in Frenched headlights, removed the 40 taillights and did a smoothed in bar light, removed the red and white tuck and roll for tweed interior and painted blue and white stars and stripes all over it. I see it every year at the NSRA in pueblo. Makes me sick but they love it. I guess if every body liked the same thing it would't be very interesting. Ok I'm done Bitchin now and have taken my calm down pills. oh ya I do like red, white and blue stars and stripes just not in a weird configuration on a car. Ok I'm really done this time.

I know the one Gary Meadows owned had that windshield but not sure it’s the same car.

A friend from New Zealand (Mark Locker) bought this Olds powered 40 coupe in Washington 1175083_599300726775530_725334496_n.jpg and drove it to Long Beach to send home in a container. I hooked up with Mark at Bonneville for some bench racing...

Drove to the Nesbit Post Office , sending a package to a Hamber and also purchasing a money order to buy some mirrors from a Hamber . The classifieds here have been very good to me. A beautiful day for a cruise. Later Bill DSCN1475.JPG

I've already plastered this '40 all over this website in different threads, and it could get embarrassing for me is this wasn't IMHO the coolest, best one ever outside of Cushinberrys (?) Matador. Built in the 50's by a member of the Tacoma Toppers, and now owned by a guy in Lacy Washinton, ( by Olympia), who has owned it 25 years or so and WILL not sell it cause I asked. I have to say there are many many great 40's as evidenced in this thread, But my heart beats for his one, if only it were mine I go the BIG garage extremely satisfied and with a very big grin on my face. 40-3.png 40-3.png 40-5.jpg 40-5.jpg 40-8.png
