Went through all 5 pages of this 'Featured' thread.....didn't find much relating to traditional rods and customs...when did the HAMB become the alternative Weather Channel? You do see my point, don't you HRP? :)

  12. I posted these photos on FAS. I took both, this week. The leaves on Wednesday, and the snow today. RON.... 20181116_145206.jpeg 20181112_153603.jpeg

Man I hear ya about the cold. The other day it was 66 degrees when I got up. Had to put on long pants AND socks! WTF!:D

  20. I can still remember the few years I spent in Saskatchewan, (yes it really exists). 10 months of winter, and 2 months of poor sledding. When I was in the RCAF and undergoing pilot training, part of it was in Saskatchewan. My roomie was a Saskatchewan native, and I used to tease the hell out of him every morning by throwing the curtains, look at the snowdrifts, and state that there wasn't a hill or a tree to spoil the beautiful view.
I had to go to work one morning when the temp was -44, but I was able to start my Corvette because it was plugged in. When I sat behind the wheel to drive it to work, the vinyl seat cover cracked all around the base. Man, I was choked!
One of the best sights in my life, was seeing Saskatchewan for the last time in my rear view mirror.
On Vancouver Island, on the wet coast, we get the winter rain and rare bit of wet sloppy crap called snow, but the summers are long, dry, and fantastic.

While I still enjoy the beauty of the snow and learned to tolerate the cold, a few trips down south to visit the Grandkids during the winter months helps.

Don't get me wrong, I Used To Love the snow( when I was a youth). Shoveling to earn a couple quarters and maybe some homemade cookies before spending the rest of time sledding, having snowball fights, skating, building snow forts, etc. Lived in UPstate N.Y. for most of my life before moving to Tenn. and then to Va. Do I miss it? Sometimes, but not enough to move back! Looks Great on postcards, Carp.

Came down to Florida to visit Grandsons and Family. Up North this time of year we watch the color of the leaves change and then see the snow. This time of year down in Florida they watch the colors of the license plates change and then see the State flooded with Snow Birds.
