I'm told that I need to roll the rearend back to drop the driveline and expose the torqueball and the rear seal in my 52 buick dynoflow tranny. I just don't get what needs to be loosened or removed to permit me to do this. The shocks, the springs ?
    Thanks,
    Mike

Thanks, this helps alot . I'll let you know how it goes. I get most of your explanation. Clear and to the point. I've got some stuff disconnected all ready, most of which i don't need to have had, oh well. I'm use to that.
I might have more questions later if you don't mind.

Lots of Buicks have a blind spline on the u-joint - mark it to ease re-assembly.

This is to the guy who, ( or anyone elsewho might know, of course ) helped me seperate my driveline from the tranny on my 52 buick. I'm sorry I can't find your reply to my original post. Anyway I could use some more help. It seems as though I need to take the whole yoke piece out of the transmission to be able and get to the rear seal, and besides the u-joint is wore out. I thought the yoke would just pull out of the tranny but...? I'm thinking I need to take the speedo gear out to release the yoke and u-joint unit.
