Last weekend was the second annual Leadfoot Festival, which is a hill-climb and car show at Rod Millens property in Hahei, New Zealand. It was a very good event, lots of variety of cars and a great setting! Here are some pics of the more HAMB friendly cars that were competing in the pits. Driven from the South Island to race, blew the gearbox on Saturday during a run but they were looking for a replacement, so was most likely fixed and driven home again. 38 Chev coupe, 6-carb 327 and muncie. 1975 Dale Earnhardt Sr. Chevy Nova Tribute Car Renault Dauphine, rear mounted sbc Renault Dauphine, rear axle detail, flathead V8 diff converted to independent with inboard discs. 1955 Triumph T110 sidecar rig 1928 AJS K6 1936 Chevy Modified Will post some more pics in a minute.
Gee Cee Ess Special, originally built as a midget in 1937, re-built as a road-racer in 1948. 39 Deluxe coupe, owned since 1959, raced since the 60's. Note the Morris one-piece windscreen, moulded spot lights and custom tail-lights! Anglia race-car, with custom fastback added for better aerodynamics. Lotus twin-cam engine. The fastback conversions are nick-named a Bread-van and were quite popular in the sixties That's all for now!
