had a great road trip with my pal David Tanner yesterday as we left Neosho, Missouri in his ‘29 Model A coupe and our first stop was breakfast at Fairland, Oklahoma where we met up with a bunch of racers who meet once a month. The food and coffee was great but the fellowship was better.
Next stop was fuel in Miami , then all backroads until we reached Dewey, Oklahoma which is home of the Stray Kats car club.
86 cars is not a big number but I saw cars or people from Texas, AZ, OR, PA, NC and all over the country.
I spent the day visiting with new and old friends and had a great time in the perfect weather. I’m just now getting back into car shows and was also at Greaserama last week.
David won an award for his coupe which he painted himself along with his pal Ricky Neal of MS. This car was originally a sport coupe in pices and Dave hauled it home in the bed of his pickup truck. It’s got a perfect 327 and four speed. Now has 5,500 miles on the odometer. What a great day.
Thanks for posting all the photo's, it good to see some custom's since most of the shows have been cancelled, again great to see you back on the Hamb. HRP
Thanks for the pics and coverage! 86 cars is huge, especially for Kustoms. I’ll bet this is the biggest show of this year, great job
Great photos, but no pie! After all this time I thought there would be at least 1 photo of a pie! Thanks for the photos Paul. KK
