And no, it is not mine. I just picked it up for the new owner.

Do you still have it? Is it possible to get a straight on pic of the blueprint? That's really wild. If I had big money I'd bought it without a second thought.

Yea, I still have it. I took the photo at the bit of an angle to eliminate the glare from the lights on the ceiling fan. I'll take another straight on photo tomorrow.

No problem. It's overcast and rainy here today, but still enough light for a photo.

Here is a "Clean" copy if it is any use to you. Make that two, one in the more original color and the wrinkle near the bottom removed, take your pick

Are the end cap parts screwed into the body? Or are those bearing retainers screwed into the end caps, and then the body's rings are stacked on the end caps?

<----------- Can I Join your Registry, I don't really have a Latham but I have those Side draft YH carbs, so all carb related info is helpful

  13. I'm keeping the registry of Latham serial # to keep a list of those still in existence.
I don't publish anything but use HAMB as a communication venue. Carter YH Carbs were also used on the Corvair
but I'm not sure which model.

Found this engine with a Latham Supercharger sitting on a shelf in a closed auto shop.
Was told it has been sitting 20+ years and it appears to be a 1957 thunderbird 312 supercharged engine with the Latham Supercharger featuring four 1bbl carbs.
The engineering that went into this motor is fantastic! From what I understand, the Latham Supercharger was built in West Palm Beach, FL during the 50’s and 60’s with production numbers floating around 600 built? Trying to learn more about this great piece of racing memorabilia. IMG_4336.JPG IMG_4408.JPG IMG_4406.JPG

Any way to add this to the registry? I have all four carbs with it as well. What's a setup like this valued at?

  19. I'll add it to the registry. Looks like # 1631 The serial numbers from what I've found started @ 001000 but I've seen two that were lower. Of course one was the one on E-Bay that was # 000001. I think that some blank plates were sold so there could be any number stamped in. Value is a good question. I'm a true novice at selling/pricing things but have seen Lathams missing some parts go in the $2000 range. Condition does matter so if oxidized and not spinning freely somewhat less. A complete unit like that one should be more, probably $3000 range but it's worth what someone wants and needs. Looking at it more closely the plenums don't look like Latham Manufacturing, rather shop made maybe marine? The oxidation on the case would also lessen the value.

Is this the one you've had forever?^^ Like back in the late 70's early 80's?

  28. Latham Metamora.jpg Paul: that seems to be different from the one I saw.
Supposedly that one was sold to someone in Germany. Only the front 4 carbs were functional.
    I'll have to compare the 2 photos.[IMG]

When I saw these superchargers the first times at a Dinner Key ,Fla. car show in early 60's,they really had that WOW factor. There was no way $ wise,I could even think about buying one,but was then an are max cool looking. I just stay with my homemade 4x2 intake on my V8 Ford ThunderBird Y. 001 (4).JPG
