Latham Axial Supercharger???

This vintage supercharger was for sale in the Swap meet of Monroe. i've seen one never before and it was too expensive for me, though but I would like to hear something more about those cool blowers. And please show me some engines with Latham too!!!

Oops, I should had tried to make a HAMB-search at first....

 

How much was it? It's the first two carb version I've seen in a long time.

 

It was $2500.

Someone showed this photo on the Hamb before, but it looks so sick that I put it here again! Would look good in my Cad Flat, whoaaa!

 

That wasn't a bad deal for a unit that was fairly complete. Intakes are easy to make. Do the search and you'll find lots of info here. Probably more here than any other site on the web actually. I've still got copies of the original instructions for a few people that didn't get back to me or I didn't get back to them...

 

I Just talked to that guy (I think) but he wanted $3500, still has it, Assuming it was the same guy? Andy his name, I met him at another Washington Swap meet

Did this model ever run? I have a similar version and would like to know how it turned out. Does it make much difference power wise? Any flow and pressure numbers?

I've got two of them for a Buick 322 nailhead build. First one I got looks to be a reverse-rotation model for a boat engine. It would need a fabricated drive arrangement to work. The second one I got last year and very well may be Motor Trend's June 1959 cover story test mule.

 

They are very cool and rare with just 600 units made ... I have seen some for sale lately
