I want to paint the 235 that I will be putting in my 37 Chevy p/u close to what the original color was and can not remember what it looked like so anyone know of a readily available paint close that color.
If I recall correctly they used a grey color. I would try Bill Hirsch or possibly the Filling Station. I'm sure both would have what youre looking for.
They are very proud of that paint, might see if there is a paint that is close that is a little cheaper. Anything is better then the orange the present engine is painted.
just get it close. Nobody but a couple of purists will know anyhow. Most of the people that like or care about these inlines are dead
@junkyardjeff ..."machinery gray" is a good choice. Pretty common color offered by several manufacturers in quart or rattle can. Ray
I will look for machinery gray,Chevy orange looks too new for a old stovebolt and what was I thinking.
I was going to reply to the OP by saying "hey, I resemble that remark"...............but I like your suggestion even better......and I am an Inliner #057 Ray
@Hnstray haha I probably resemble that comment too. dont post it on the inliners site. They will give me the boot!!!
