Here is your last look at the bare metal. Tomorrow we get some DP90. I like the bare metal look. But, after the wettest, most humid Sept and Oct in DFW history, I'm tired of rubbing on the darn thing. Artsy High-Boy shot ... Now, it's black. Let me know which you prefer. Thank you, Daniel
Honestly, it looks nice enough to me that I would be scuffing it and throwing some shiny stuff on top of it
as nice as that body looks, a coat of shiney paint wouldn't have been much more work...unless that's the look you were after. HRK-hotrods beat me to it...
hey DAN...i like your HIGH low boy look. and i think it looks better with paint. we're just south of you in waxahachie TX. yea my son has a 27T chopped coupe. man it's the meanest looking rod i've ever seen. but then again it's my sons! HA! call me POP...or the old FART!
Saw it at PnP today. It looks damned good black, one of my favorite As at the place. Personally I think it would look better shiny, but like I said it's pretty incredible in flat black too.
Who cares. The flat black is a pretty awesome color and if that's what he like then so be it. I think we forget how many rad flat black cars there are. Ryan's Model A, RoyalShifter's 32 etc. Those guys know whats up!! Now the radials on the other hand need to go. They look like a third nipple.
How about compromise and paint it Silver? It's close to the bare metal look but protected and shiny. I think that car would look killer no matter what color it is, may it be bare, flat black, or heck even flamingo pink. Ryland Actually I take that back, please don't paint it pink.
Eric posted a couple of nice shots in his PnP event coverage. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=418149 The end game for this Coupe is shiny black with hint of gold trim. Thanks for the comments, Daniel
