    This is horrible news, the guy was brilliant and from what i can see and hear such a nice talented guy. Rest in Peace Larry :(

    RIP Larry.You and Saint Vasquez are hanging out at that big Burger joint in the sky.Talked to him on the phone a couple of years ago.Real down to earth guy.

    Many condolences to his family from the entire KKOA Family.

    Wow. It was surprising to hear the news. He lived a full life from his many acting gigs, to the life most all of you know in the paint realm, and much more.

    We all see his influences in customs we see at almost every car show you attend. Now that is a true compliment to your talent.

    My doctor told me this story:
    "I grew up close to Watson's shop back in the day. We would just hang out and watch him paint. One day we were there and he was spraying this car and all of a sudden the lights went out! We couldn't see anything, but all we could hear was the paint spraying. They were out for a while. Then the lights came on and we all were like WOW! the paint looked amazing, he didn't miss a beat and his paint job came out bitching! it was like a magic show!"

    Thank you Larry for your talents that influenced and will influence for the ages, the memories, and always taking the time to for a conversation no matter how busy you were.

  6. For those not hip to his acting career he had well over 50 shows listed in his filmogrphy,what a life and whata guy!

    Never got to meet him, but Ive always have been inspired by his work, always will be. RIP Mr. Watson. My prayers and condolences to his family and friends

    A sad day indeed... he will always be remembered as an artist, innovator, and most of all a great car guy. RIP!

  18. I never met him, but he definitely changed the way I look at cars. I'll now never be able to thank him for the pictures I've seen. Sad to see him go, rest in peace.

    We got a call early this morning from Dick Jackson that Larry Watson had passed away. We were very sad to hear the news but he had kept us up-to-date
    on his health and the news was not good. Our prayers go out to his family and friends. May he rest in peace. Patticake&Tinguy

  26. WOW what a sad day in the Kustom world. Another one of the great ones leaves us. RIP Larry. Your influence will live on in any one that lays a Mack on a panel or tapes off that next scallop job.

    Few have left as big a mark on this hobby. He was a true innovator and his work will continue to live on through his lasting body of work and the younger generations that he has inspired. God speed

  30. A month ago I was fortunate enough to talk to him briefly on the phone. I'll never forget it. When he answered the phone it was simply, "what's up." The king of cool. He will be deeply missed. A true innovator. Our prayers go out to his friends and family.
