Lannon, Wis "CACKLEFEST"

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Curt R, Jul 27, 2012.

  1. "Come smell the nitro" at "Cars on Main", Sunday, July, 29th, 2012, Lannon, Wi.
All the businesses on Main St. reserve their parking lots for participant cars.
This is a benefit event for the Lannon volunteer fire department,
    Sussex Food Pantry,
    Elmbrook Humane Society.
Great pancake breakfast at the Lannon Fire Dept. 8am to 11am.
Food, beverages and beer available outside all day thru out the Main St. area.
    No spectator fee
Car registration 8am to 1pm, $8.00 donation (you don't have to, if you don't wanna)
gets you a ticket for prize drawings and a free beverage.
No car classes, trophies, awards or criteria.
Two competitive nostalgia fuel funny cars will fire up at 11:30 am and 2:30 pm.

Way cool event held in the parking lots, on the sidewalks and on the streets of the village.
Previous events had burnouts on Main St (not anymore), but some of the cars show up.
Drag cars, race cars making a brief drive up Main St. to their parking area.
The trophy whores, award mongers and criteria crybabies usually stay away or they
show up, don't whine and enjoy.
    200 to 300 cars attend.
The president of the Lannon Village Board will be the guest tuner and tipping the nitro
    for the fuel funny cars.
    Everybody's invited.

    Curt R
