Art & Inspiration /\\//\\//\Laborious Friday Art Show 8-29-2014/\\//\\//\

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Jigger, Aug 28, 2014.

  1. Got a lot of work this week end so I'm gonna get the 'labor day' week end Art Show on the GO!!!

Some concept angles on an idea I had kicking around in my head… the pointy parts hurt in there…
If it goes to color, I will revise the rear end on all to match the profile version in the upper right.

    "Studebaker P-38 Tribute Custom"

This is another quicky I did based on a unfinished quicker sketch I found while sifting through old folders...

Here is a sketch I put together this week of where I want to take my newly acquired Cadillac Town Sedan. Mild custom, shaved handles, airbags, scallops and a flake top. And yep, I named it.

This watercolour is a concept (approved) for a set of fenders to replace existing cycle fenders. Car is an AC.

    Here's a lil' press ad. I wanted to convey my M.O quickly & simply;
  17. Thanks

Frogz, the Citroen is tres groovy man!

Spoggiest, I didn't catch the fact that the first car was a 'Vette.... Love it.
Your AC reminded me of this custom deuce I posted a while back. It may
Look 'continental' but it's got the heart of a hot rod...

    Over 60 over 200
When the So-Cal coupe wasn't the So-Cal coupe any longer. It eventually became the Jim Travis coupe.
In a Rod and Custom article, Travis said that he had run the car over sixty times at over two hundred
miles per hour. Fast company! Jim Travis So-Cal Coupe.jpg

    Looking great eveyone!

Jigger - Love the "Continental Hot Rod" idea. I've tossed/drawn that idea out myself (not in your skill). The P38 - way kool!!! And the Tub - something I would love to do!
Spoggie - that kustom Vette is Killer. Need more of those around. A few people just need to get the balls to cut 'em up!
    Bob - awesome as always!
KC - Makes me nearly regret selling my Caddy!
Beebing - After reading the "Bucket of Ugly" thread, these have been on my mind. Awesome drawing!

Hey all, everything is just so inspiring and cool today. I used to try to comment but it seems like everything is always comment-worthy and that's hard to keep up with so I like being able to just quickly "LIKE" stuff. Hopefully that's not being too lazy but I've noticed the thread is a lot cleaner and compact with more folks doing that.

Ink'd this out for my middle daughter on her spiral notebook for school after she requested I draw a real hotrod on it. Drawn on my dad's 1956 drawing board. ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1409332767.742768.jpg
