    A distinctive feature of Bill Hines' "Lil Bat", and indeed the reason for the fins, was that the rear of the top (AND the trunk) was set down between the rear fenders, rather than chopped and leaned forward.

    This is what its all about!!! I mean, what's the point of owning a gorgeous, priceless, timeless piece of kustom history, if you can't roll down for a coffee and show it off to your mates??? :)

    Thanks man, I know people that go to cruise nights almost every night of the week. I never really saw too much point in that although I go to a weekly event at our local drive in on thurs nights (they have been in business here since 1961 and I think it is important to support them). I do however drive my old cars to the bank, to the grocery store, the hardware store and out to eat every chance I get.....

    That's funny....I'm actually watching the 84 KKOA video right now. Got the whole stack of videos from Doug Reed in this last week. Why have I not had these before? Awesome stuff!! Of course, it leads me to piles of "where are they nows" for the other thread. Lol

    That is what is all about, Moriarty! This past week I have driven my Fleetline to all of the above, plus to the auto parts store, Post Office, cemetery, feed mill for dog food, and the boat dock to watch the boat traffic.
