I did...my bro's '54 Caddy has a stock 331" engine in it and a stock automatic trans...my '55 has a '70 Cadillac 500 incher and a T-400 automatic...it was a no-contest race.

...and, FWIW, here's a side shot of the current '48 Cadillac project sitting in my driveway...still a ways to go but at least it's on the streets...

Do you have a build thread on it? Followed your purple Caddy build thread and enjoyed it a lot.

 

The 60 Buick was built by Jerry Hill from New Trenton Indiana. The same guy that built my car. The last I knew it was owned by a H.A.M.B member from Minnesota.

 

Jerry Hill is very talented builder. Sorry to say I'm not aware of his kustom history. I'm going to have to do a search and find more of his builds.

his name is Pogo from the Deliquents c.c. the engine is a flat 6 cyl rear engine. He sold the Corvair body to a friend that made it into a gasser but kept the engine which now sits under thrunk lid. I saw it when the car was in primer
